RUGBY IS UNIQUE

THE ONLY CEMENT WORKS TO BE BUILT WHERE THERE IS NO RAW MATERIAL, (BEING CHALK, CLAY AND COAL): NO LANDFILL; NO RAILWAY; NO ROADS.

NOTE ALSO THAT ALTHOUGH THEY CLAIM TO HAVE BUILT THE PLANT HERE BECAUSE OF THE EXISTING 1965 PIPELINE, WHICH HAS "SUDDENLY" HAD TO BE FULLY REPLACED AS IT KEEPS ON BURSTING, AND ALSO IT HAS TO HAVE A MUCH LARGER CAPACITY TO SUPPLY THE RUGBY MONSTER PLANT. A BIGGER CAPACITY THAN THE TWO OLD PLANTS OF SOUTHAM AND RUGBY PUT TOGETHER.

THE PUBLIC WERE TOLD IN THE ORIGINAL ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT 1996 PRESENTED TO, AND ACCEPTED BY WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, THAT ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS FOR BUILDING IN RUGBY WAS BECAUSE OF THE EXISTING PIPELINE. THIS WAS JUST ONE OF THE MANY "UNTRUTHS" THAT WERE PEDDLED AT THAT TIME.....

So exactly WHY have Rugby Borough Council and Warwick County Council done this to Rugby people? Is it because we are poor and stupid? What's in it for them then? What did and do they get paid to do this? Was there some sort of agreement? What revenue do they collect now? Which Councillors did this to us? Can you name them... is there any paperwork?

Looking on your site, and in old newspaper cuttings, we see money was given by Rugby Cement from the Landfill tax scheme, but I thought that was 90% public money? When they say they gave £10,000 doesn't that mean they gave £1,000 and the public the rest, but this terminology allows them to "claim the credit" for the tax credit - but it is mostly OUR money?

Have you thought of asking the Ombudsman to investigate RBC and WCC? I am sure there will be plenty of people willing to testify and give evidence against them, especially in New Bilton.

    Keep up the good work.

    Very Good Point.
I never thought of it in that way. Is it easy to get the Ombudsman involved? If so it should be done straight away. With the present court case and all the public interest it should be a sinch.
