This photograph was taken after a brief walk down a public footpath on the field between Long Lawford and the cement works.We didn't send the boots for chemical analysis. I don't think we need scientists to tell us that this white powder does not naturally occur in grass.
Just remember that it is not only the stack that emits dust particles it can also be from low level sources such as the cement mills and seperators. This fugitive dust, under pressure, escapes from any and many locations all over the plant.
